Be Happy on January 23

Have a happy January 23rd. It's Friday, it's a day closer to spring, and in these parts, the temperature will reach 44 degrees today! And it seems to be mostly sunny. *sigh*

Here's a balloon for each happy thought. May the sad ones stay obscured behind them.

Hey acton, what's up? I wanted to answer a question you left me on my last blog. Signing classes are just like taking a foreign language (and no, it's not a dumb question, so many people are misinformed about ASL). It's a language just like any other -- it has rules, structure, grammar, it changes over time, etc. Signing classes, in the beginning, are mundane; milk, car, cow, house, friend, class. Stuff like that. I'm at a point where it's straight signing and that's all, complex stuff. It's interesting. There's a LOT of facial expression, and some people feel stupid doing it, but it's natural for Deaf people. Anyway, hope that helps!

Feel good picture for a feel good day and an end to a feel good week. May our ballons float like that forever.

It was 53 degrees here today. Just saying.
