An Anniversary

One year ago today, the FDA approved over-the-counter access to emergency contraception (EC) for women 18 and older.

Just thought I'd point that out. The video is titled Stop Something, and was created by Planned Parenthood.

I'm lovin' it! Yea for Planned Parenthood. Don't you wish every baby was a planned baby?

I'm with Woody Allen who said, we should stop making new babies until we find parents to all that already exist.

I say, a very good skit indeed. Whatever it takes.

Want to avoid a sticky situation?

Loved that phrase. Hurray for control of our bodies.

Ariel, that would be so much easier if the international adoption process would be easier.
I looked into it a bit...and before you can adopt(if you ar ento Angelina Jolie), say, a Chinese girl...the process is long and hard and almost impossible, while in that time dozens of Chinese girls have died on the streets in China, all the while trying to make sure the adopter is a nice enough, well established, sane, caring, married and dependable provider...

never mind...I am babbling...I am leaving for now!

I hope we get there some day though!

That was a fun ad. If only we could put it in the water.

Oh, I agree! Put birth control in the water and let those who are ready to have a child ask for the antidote.

And I agree with Woody Allen, too, and it really needs to be less arduous to adopt.

That is great. EC is not a bad thing at all.

I'll reveal the two sides of me. I think it would be best if people only had sex after real consideration of whether or not they would want to spend the rest of their life with the peron they're having sex with. But this isn't a perfect world. And sometimes there are reasons why even two people who want to spend their entire lives together might not want to have a child at a given time, for instance economic or health reasons. And sometimes birth control methods do fail. While I'm pro-choice on a political level, on a personal level I always feel that birth control is better than abortion. So hell yes the emergency birth control pill should be available! If we don't keep the Fundie influence off our bodies, we're back in the dark ages.

I can't understand why those sperm t-shirts aren't more popular.

I have to say the idea of having it in the water sounds good. Course, then it would leach into the waterways and cause all sorts of havoc...sigh, no easy answers

that was priceless. of course, as i watched that wonderful video, i kept flashing on another great Monty Python song, "Every Sperm is Sacred". not sure why... heh heh. ; )

i'm in support of EC and a big fan of Planned Parenthood, by the way! great message.
